Yo.

Here's an update of my meddlings...

Work so far is a blast. Already two months in and I really don't have a complaint so far. My typing skills have gotten a bit better too, I feel like one of those typists from the original GITS OVA >.>

In terms of gaming, I just started importing recently and have added some really good games to my library. GGXX/, REZ, NH3, KOFXI, NGBC and MBAC rarely leave my PS2. I still play T5DR from time to time, but right now I am mainly trying to play GGXX/ and VF4E. For RPG's i've mainly been playing Radiata Stories and am about to get XS3. I also got a Gamefly account the other day, so now outside of a few games (FFXII and some fighting games) I will not be buying anything for a long time.

I've also been watching a lot of Naruto as well. Until now I really never liked any other shonen, but for some reason I kinda like this series. In high school everyone was talking about DBZ, and until I actually got CN my senior year I never really got a chance to watch it (I've seen most of it the past couple of years though). While I do like it, there's only so much Toriyama I can take lately. Naruto isn't perfect either (whereas DBZ has its 10 episode standstills, Naruto takes the cake with its overabundance of flashbacks), so most of my fondness for it comes from the character designs and a bit of the action. And no, I will NOT wear a headband at AWA or at any other con. EVER .

Art has been a bit slow, if not a bit trying. I've been working in my sketchbook constantly now so hopefully i'm actually improving and not digressing. I've some BIG projects coming up with some really cool clients, but due to the scenario at hand I cannot say anything clear at this time.

Durandal Saga is coming along great. I have a HUGE glossary with all the information i've come up with and will soon be releasing some of it as time goes by. All four of the main characters will see some changes in their design very soon, especially Alicia. Stay tuned...

So I'm almost finished with my training at Airtran Airways. What do I do? I'm the guy that'll be on the recieving end of the telephone lines booking your flights. Please be nice, por favor XD.

From what i've experienced so far, its a blast. Although i'm stuck in the office at 8 hours at a time, it really does fly by with calls coming in at all times. I don't mind the benefits either, flying for free nationally is pretty cool. I'm looking forward to next spring though, since now I can go to Japan with little to no cost compared to the original fare. Seriously, if any of y'all are in the GA area check this job out, its solid as hell.

Once I have enough material ready I will be opening a seperate DA account for my GN, Durandal Saga. Outside of the project itself I'm really trying to stay productive art wise by making a new piece at least once a week and sketching every day. I should have a lot of time to accomplish this, seeing as how I won't be attending school this fall due to lack of funds. Boo.

My gaming repretoire is pretty much the same. Haven't finished WA4 yet, kinda don't want it to end. T5DR is hella fun, looking forward to being able to practice it on PSP once it hits the US. I've gotten back in O2Jam, anybody else out there play this gem? Looking forward to FFXII, VF5, Okami, and all the other gems coming out this fall and spring. My next purchases will be SFAA and GGX2 (...again).

School is almost over. Nothing special to say, although i'm still surprised that i've kept HOPE for this long. During the summer I plan to travel to Savannah to check out SCAD. If i'm able to acquire the funds i'll be moving down in the fall, otherwise if that fails i'll be back at UWG in the fall. I may change my major (graphic design) due to the department supposedly being a bit lacking, but who knows (need advice on this).

Art wise i've been a bit more active lately, although it may not show here. Due to inspiration I have more than a dozen WIPs at the moment, each one coming by a bit smoothly. Most of these are part of a bigger project however. In the next couple of weeks I plan to dive right into my graphic novel, Durandal Saga. Soon i'll have up character sheets, cityscapes and concept designs for the world itself. I'll also be submitting a rough summary of the background and story very soon, so if you are interested stay tuned. Outside of Saga i've got some fanart coming in, including works based on Berserk, Tekken (duh) and Kingdom Hearts. In a month's time i'll re-subscribe to DA, as well as make an account with DAPrints. I've been doing commissions on a personal level for a year now, but as of now I want to bring it up on a broader level.

Gaming wise its picked up a little. On a competitive level I still play Tekken (DR) and recentely have gotten seriously into 3S. I've quit SC3 since it is one big joke in terms of programming, but once the ARC Edition comes out i'll pick it right back up (especially since Yunsung has been beefed up even more). I tried my hand at DOA4 the other day, and it is true: This game is just so different from the other franchises that I'm really having a hard time adjusting. Hopefully once I get used to it i'll enjoy it a bit more (Ein FTW). I beat KH2 last week, and outside of the ending (...) it was fantastic. Now i'm playing WA4 and so far I like it. I recently purchased BeatmaniaUS and once I get the money i'll be importing like a fiend. ITG is also taking up a lot of my time. XD

I am about to die of exhaustion, but I figured I'd update before I fall on my face...again.

As far as school goes, I think I'm doing okay. Art Visual Comm is doing pretty well, and I'm really liking the idea of standing up in front of people and interpreting artwork. My final for this class is find which work of Michelangelos (La Pieta and the Pieta Rondanini) is superior in both a technical and spiritual sense. English is coming along fine, although I'd rather read anything else other than Jane Austin. It's not that I don't like her writing style, its just so dry. For next semester I'll be taking a myriad of classes, including Photography, Adv. Drawing, Anthropology and World History.

As for work, I quit my job at the arcade about a month ago. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED that job but the distance between home, school, and work was killing my paycheck. If I live closer in the future I'll definately try to work there again. Right now I am a seasonal team member at Target, which will last until January. I love it although some things are a bit stressing. Your score is kept if you work register, and basically your grade depends mainly on whether or not the guest can pay fast enough. Its not a big deal, but as fast as I ring up and bag I should e penalized for a guest's slowness. Maybe I'll find someway around this in the future.

In the gaming world i'm having a blast for the little time I put into it. SC3 came out a while back and although the game is glitched to hell and back I will still stick by it until there is no one willing to play in ATL. Right now I'm using Yunsung, Cass, Mina and Hwang. I still play Tekken, although SC3's hype kinda killed it for a week or two between the guys I play with. For RPGs I am currently in the middle of play FFX? (again), SMT Nocturne, SH Covenant and VP. I've gone to the dark side and am starting to FPS as well (Killzone).

Summer is now officially over, and school has finally begun. This year is going to be good, I can feel it in my bones. Hopefully I will keep my Hope for atleast another year, but I guess thats up to me. Now lets go on to the happenings of my life so far.

Around July I started working at the Namco Time Out in Douglasville. One the bright side I've already become a bit less lazy and I get to hang out and watch some good matches of Tekken and whatnot. On the downside, I HATE CHILDREN AND THE PARENTS THAT BREED THEM. Thats a minor downside though. Over the past month I've actually gotten back into DDR as well as Chaos (as much as I hate to say it). I also have gotten much better with a stick and have stopped my long hatred for it. Hopefully by the time i'm done with college I will be somewhere in Namco, but I doubt it through their consumer branch.

In terms of transportation I still drive the good ol' Granny Tank. But by this time next month I will be in a shiny '02 Mustang. Somehow in the past month I've been able to learn Manual Transmission, which so far is a blast. I'm getting the Mustang through my brother, and because i'm such an awesome fellow it'll only cost me $500. Fantastic.

In terms of gaming I am now a racing whore (it must be a side effect of my new obsession with the stick shift). Right now I am playing NFSU2 at home, and Max Tune 2 at the arcade. Both are really fun, so much drifting! In terms of fighters I am still playing T5 very competitevly. I've gotten a good bit better, but i've got a long way to go before I can really hang with ATL. For RPG's, I am mixed up in a triangle of Legend of Mana, Vagrant Story and Alundra. All vergy good games. After a while I may finish up Xenosaga so I can get the sequel as well.

In the art world I am still alive. Lately i've been working on a lot of commishes for some friends at GaiaOnline. Outside of that I'm working on a few reference portraits as well including Ayumi Hamasaki, David Bowie (Labrynth!!!) and another that I haven't decided on yet. After I am through with these I am going to work on some fanart for SFA3 as well as Tekken.

I have recieved word recently that one of my pictures (the latest Sephy piccie) has been featured in the October issue of PSM. Thanks to ~onewingedjrocker for pointing that out to me. Huzza!
